D.C. DuFrane is a cinematographer living in Brooklyn, NY with a focus on elevating visual concepts within the commercial, documentary & narrative space.
He first became interested in cinematography in his small Adirondack hometown working on Star Trek New Voyages, a fan film that featured cast members George Takei, Nichelle Nichols and more. After falling in love with the Technicolor lighting on set, he went off to pursue his passion for cinematography by studying film production at Hunter College in NYC.
Since 2012 he has worked across a multitude of productions including commercials, narrative films, music videos & documentaries. With the goal of creating compelling, story-driven imagery through lighting and camera techniques, D.C. refuses to sacrifice integrity or taste.
When he isn’t on set, he enjoys playing in rock’n’roll bands, skateboarding and professional wrestling.
